I don’t use IFTTT myself and we don’t get any training on the software, so I’m not sure why it would repeat at the end of the stream or if this is expected behavior.
My reply will push this topic to the top of recently active threads, bringing other users who use IFTTT into the thread.
I can’t find any help or support on IFTTT’s website, but if they do have support, it would be worth checking in with them.

I’ve implement a workaround by calling http request that waits 14 seconds than call sonos actions to pause the stream. I’ll ask IFTTT support too.
