Why does my AMP always think it is connected to a TV. Never connected to TV.

I had TV autoplay on, turned that off and now all is fine. Thanks.

What makes you think that the Sonos Amp thinks that it is connected to a TV via HDMI ARC or eARC? Is it switching inputs on you ‘automatically’?

It is never connected to a TV. Whenever I want to play music on it the app says sound from the TV will stop if I continue.

Shutting off the TV autoplay is temporary. Alexa will rediscover the phantom TV device associated with each Amp. I.e. Kitchen and Kitchen TV.
