Hi there,
We are currently renovating our small family room. We are also new to Sonos products. With 2 small kids and a dog, we use our family room as a multi purpose / music / home theater space. We are trying to achieve 5.1.2 by using the Sonos Amp to connect to in-ceiling speakers for the rear surrounds to save space. The entire home theater package consist of Arc, Sub and 2 in-ceiling rear speakers.
However, I recently learned the Amp can power up to 4 in-ceiling speakers. So my question is if I install 4 in-ceiling speakers, is there an option to select only 2 speakers as rear surround when watching movies vs select all 4 in-ceiling speakers when we play music? It seems wasteful not to install the maximum number of speakers the $649 amp can handle.
Appreciate your feedback.
