Any chance this would work? Connecting Sonos to an Epson projector?

Hi,

I’ll be buying the Epson EH-TW7000 projector soon and I kinda want to stay with my Sonos setup. Ideally I’d buy a Sonos Move to connect via Bluetooth, but due to SCMS-T it’s not supported. As I understand this leaves me with:

a) connecting and old (1. or 2. gen) apple tv to the projector and then using airplay to fetch the sonos. Not even entirely sure if that would fly. Has anyone tried?

b) finding a non-sonos alternative

Very open to hearing what c) might be as long as it’s wireless. The projector will not be installed, but be used in various places in my apartment, so it needs to be portable.

Thanks in advance.

Pretty sure only the Apple TV 4K and Apple TV HD support AirPlay:

And you can stream audio from these two Apple TV models to an AirPlay compatible Sonos speaker, so it should work.
