Just taken delivery of my new Roam and keen to get using it. If I am away from home and my usual Wi-Fi network that I use Sonos with can I use Alexa by connecting to it to my iPhone personal hotspot and use my iPhone data plan?

Yes, that should work, although you would need to use a different device for the Sonos controller. Also, because you could just bluetooth connection to your phone, and use the Alexa or Amazon music app for voice control. Depends on which option works best for your situation.
