Using SiriusXM on Sonos

I am trying to re-set up my SiriusXM on Sonos.  It worked fine previously, but I got a new router so I re-initialized Sonos.  Now, SiriusXM doesn’t work.  The Sonos app sends me to the SiriusXM app to reauthorize SiriusXM and it seems happy, but then when returning to the Sonos app, it says I need to reauthorize SiriusXM again.  I successfully do this but then it comes back to the same place and says I need to reauthorize SiriusSM.  I’ve done this a number of times now, but I'm stuck in the Sonos/SiriusXM reauthorize loop.  Has anyone seen this?

Try removing the sonos service and reinstalling it. If that fails, reset the Sonos app and reconnect to your system.

Thanks for your recommendation.  I have to think about if I want to remove the service and reinstall.  I had some issues reinstalling all of my speakers once I updated the router and I’m not sure I want to do that again.  Thanks again.

They aren’t suggesting resetting the entire Sonos system, merely removing the connection to SiriusXM, and then reinstalling it. Which does another handshake with the SiriusXM authorization servers, and reconnects to their streaming server.

Since essentially nothing is stored on the Sonos controller, but is stored on the speakers instead, there should be no reason to fear ‘resetting’ the controller, as long as you ‘connect to existing system’ if presented with the option.

Do not reset the speakers, unless instructed to do so by Sonos Support.

That worked.  My SiriusXM now works on Sonos.  Thanks so much and Happy Holidays.
