My Sonos S2 PC firmware is again not allowing me to update my local music library unless I update from what I have currently, 80.1--55014, to the aforementioned new version. This is what I don’t understand -- why is Sonos forcing something new on us when they don’t even know if it is working? 80.1 is also called 16.3.1? What is this new trojan horse called?
I have been burned way too many times. Has anyone been brave enough to try this new version yet? What is intending to fix? I wonder what is the price to pay in terms of new bugs? There are some half-baked release notes on apps for mobile apps for iOS and Android but I can’t find anything on this new version for PC. As a matter of fact, I couldn’t even identify what I would be downloading unless I check out what is in the download sub-directory!!
