Continuing problems with Sonos

For a number of weeks now the software on my laptop is showing as an update available but repeated efforts just show ‘The Sonos controller failed to install. The rest of the update cannot continue’

I’m becoming increasingly frustrated after spending a small fortune on Sonos speakers, subs etc.

Any help would be appreciated.

The data regarding the connection to your library is stored on the speakers, and not the controller app. There shouldn’t be any impact when deleting, and reinstalling.

Have you tried deleting the Sonos app on your laptop completely and re-installing it?

I haven’t tried that yet as I had so much hassle connecting to my music library the last time I did it but may be a last resort.
Thanks

Stuart

I’m getting that error now as well.   If yours is all sorted, can you tell us what you did to avoid the issue?

thanks

I get the feeling there was a glitch in the update as I just kept trying each day and it eventually downloaded.
