Hello, this morning my sonos beam gen1 stopped to work

Knowing the low quality of the service, I’ve expected that there was some problem.

After some tests, I’ve decided to reset the device. Now I cannot even make it connect to the network

I’ve sent a diagnostic Il numero di conferma è: *********.

Any chance it comes back on line?

Moderator edit: recorded and removed diagnostics number

I did a full reset.

  • Unplug the power, Pressing the button until red>green light flashes
  • android app fresh installed
  • beam (gen1) Ethernet connected straight to the router
  • pressing button “start configuration speaker or component”
  • accept licence
  • authorized BT-location-notifications
  • beam detected
  • mic autorized
  • beep sounds > beam detected
  • set location of the device

I was doing a video just to show it better, and finally it worked! don’t know but I think this thing sucks!

BTW I’ve noticed that they still not fixed the problem with alexa service. Still need to uninstall the amazon app, in order to add the alexa service after many months this bug is well know!

If your Beam was your only Sonos device then by Factory Resetting it, you've deleted your system.  For future reference, all system settings are stored on each device, as such Factory Resetting should be the last thing you try.

You'll now need to create your system from scratch, are you trying to Add your your Beam?

If Yes, please see my article:
