I have the same problem described in many other posts since 4 months. I have tried signing out and back in to the app. That didn’t work.

Come on Sonos - get this fixed. You are looking like pure clowns!

Based on another post I found a way forward.

  1. Factory reset your new Roam 2
  2. Join the Roam 2 to the network using AirPort on my Mac
  3. Add the Roam 2 to the Sonos system using the app

There is some problem in the Sonos app. I had similar problems when moving and setting up a new system using all my old speakers.

GET THIS APP FIXED OR ROLLED BACK ASAP!!!!!

Are you using SonosNet?  Roam 2 cannot connect to SonosNet.

It should not matter if the SonosNet is in use. The Roam (1 or 2 ) would just ignore it and look for regular Home WiFi.

The OP needs to provide more information as to what the actual issue is as well as what they are doing to add the Roam. Also if using the online app it isn’t possible to add any Sonos component. Hopefully, the OP is following the setup procedure as described in the link. If not let us know at what point things go off the rails

As I mentioned you cannot use a PC/Mac to add a Sonos product. Therefore the post is irrelevant.

Nobody said anything about using a Mac to add a Sonos product to the Sonos system. I said I had to use AirPort on my Mac to add the Roam to to the WiFi network. After that was done I used the Sonos app on my Android phone to add the Roam 2 to the Sonos system. Maybe you could reconsider your rating of my post as irrelevant or maybe just read my answer to my own post again?
