Question

Unable to install my SONOS SUB again

Forum|alt.badge.img+6

Since the new update, unable to use my 1k $ sonos sub. I have made 3X TIMES hard resets and followed carefully all the steps without any changes and any succes…

The error message still the same again again again. I tried every things.

Your sub has been added but may not appear in system settings. If so, unplug the power cable and then plug it back in to complete the setup from the system setting.

Has there ever been a time when sonos worked the first time? Never for me

Interested in responses here myself. I can't get my Gen 1 Sub on the new App to upgrade during the initial join process. Works fine on my S1 app. I'm forced to upgrade since I cant downgrade this new Amp on this version of the new app..

This product suite was solid when I invested years ago.. My latest experience is leaving a lot to be desired.

What troubleshooting steps have you tried?

Remove the Boost if you have one.

Connect a main speaker like a soundbar or Five to your network. Do not connect the Sub or surrounds.

Separate your 2.4 and 5 GHz radios and only connect the Sonos speakers to the 2.4 radio

1. I do not have any boost

2.  My speakers are connected without the sub

3. When i connect the sub it dont work

4. I do not have/need to play in the advanced nerwork setting since it worked well before the update.

I cannot seperate both bands since i have orbi router and they dont offer this feature.

Also they connect automaticly on the 5ghz by themself.

Humor the community and temporarily connect a main speaker to your network with a cable. You do not have to “play with advanced network settings” because you do not have a managed switch. The solution to a past Sonos/Orbi issue was to hardwire a Sonos speaker to the router and use SonosNet for the other speakers.
