Help! No sound from Sharp Aquous TV connected to Arc/Sub

Forum|alt.badge.img+1

The good news: Arc+Sub shows up in my Sonos app and I’m able to play music through it.

The bad news: I’m not getting sound out of Arc/Sub or out of my TV.

It was working before but something happened and the TV setting got out of whack. Now I don’t know how to restore settings.

TV is a Sharp Aquous LC-70LE632U

Here’s the manual: http://files.sharpusa.com/Downloads/ForHome/HomeEntertainment/LCDTVs/Manuals/tel_man_LC70LE732U_70LE632U_60LE632U.pdf

I’ve tried a bunch of things from the manual but none of them have worked.

Help! :)

Hello @Contrarian33, welcome back!

Let’s try a few things and see if we can get the TV audio to play from your Sonos Arc and Sonos Sub.

If you haven’t done this already, unplug the power cable of your TV from the socket, wait for about 30 seconds and then plug it back in.

If you are still not getting audio from the TV to the Sonos Arc, unplug the Sonos Arc HDMI cable from the TV and then open the Sonos App (you can reconnect it when instructed by the app on the next step).

Tap Settings at the bottom right → System → under Products choose your Sonos Arc + Sonos Sub room → under Home Theater tap TV Setup and follow the instructions shown on the screen.

After the setup is completed, you should be getting audio from your TV to the Sonos Arc and Sonos Sub.

Please let us know if this helped.

@Sotiris C. … God bless you! This worked!!!

And just to document the setting in the TV that did the trick (for any future users with the same issue), here it is:

It’s under System Options > Aquous Link Setup > Audio Return Channel > Auto

So basically it needs to be set to Auto instead of Off.

Again, many thanks for your clear instructions and timely response. I’m very grateful to you!
