If so, I’d suggest a different charging method, either using the wireless charging base or a different USB-C cable if the charging base or cable you’re using currently doesn’t work.

I had the same issue with a speaker I bought from eBay orange light on the bottom of the speaker but not charging, I took it apart and checked the battery cells for voltage and to my surprise they were totally depleted zero volts.
I replaced the cells and now is working just fine.
