Zones with Sonos Move

I have two sonos moves and two sonos ones... I'd love for them all to be in a zone, but the moves aren't listed in the products that are compatible? Why? The moves give great base and work well as good base drivers in liu of a dedicated sub, which is why I went with it. Sure, yes, I can do a Group, but this gives flakey reliability when using Spotify, so I'd love to setup a zone. Is there a future where the move can be added to this list?

I’d hazard a guess that the portable nature of Move and Roam speakers means the Zone would constantly break when a portable speaker is taken away from the rest of the zone.

Zones were originally created with business customers in mind.  It’s my understanding that the feature was brought over to the consumer side because it was rather easy to implement at that point.  Since Moves are not really useful for businesses, I don’t think it was considered to make sense for a zone.

There could also be some technical limitations, specifically around the fact that Move is portable and thus maybe can’t really be relied on in the communication between speakers in a zone.  Perhaps that will change.  Either way, Sonos will rarely announce features like this in advance.

If you’re getting flaky reliability streaming Spotify to a group there is definitely a local network issue. Why not tell us about your network. Please be as detailed as possible.
