There was no CAPTCHA validation on the registration form, and no email validation link was clicked, so extremely easy for the spammers to take advantage.

And that forum software from almost two decades ago has far more advanced features than Gainsight does today (and doesn’t appear to be getting in the future). 

The post filter is still ridiculous. Trying to have a conversation and your post gets sent to a mod for approval, whilst absolute nonsense from newly created accounts gets posted immediately.

Keyword blocker list is still a farce hitting actual users whilst spam continues to appear daily.

Between ‘An error occurred’ and ‘Gone for moderation’ vs the continued amount of spam which has no trouble posting it hardly seems worth the effort of trying to post anything.

While I have sympathy for the moderators having to deal with it all and stuck with their companies choice of forum provider, Sonos as a company need to get their act together, spend the money and change to a provider who is able to deliver and support a working, usable service. 

Imagine having forum software that could have a simple rule like new posters (or anyone!!??!!) can't create a new thread with http in the title.  Or something with such advanced functionality…
