@Tom Conrad

This is feedback, not good or bad, right or wrong; just my opinion.

First I’ll date myself, was excited to think about replacing some of my oldest speakers, Play 1’s or One SLs

Spent about 20-30 minutes trying to get the discount the work.

Never thought based on the EMAIL received that the T&C’s would limit the devices when my only upgrade path was to go to ERA 100’s.  T&Cs should be for things like timing.  If you are going to limit eligible speakers then mention that.

Sonos wasted my time I can’t even get the 15% right now.

Be transparent in your sales please.

You've got a 30% off credit

Ready to upgrade your setup? Now's your chance. For a limited time, your 15% off credit is now worth double. Your discount will apply automatically at checkout.

Probably should contact Sonos Sales and get this sorted, the forums do not work well for solving that sort of issue.

Hi @Stinsonddog , Sonos is giving me the 30% on ERA100 single or pair but no upgrade discount at all on the ERA100 SL - single or pair... 🤷🏼‍♂️

(UK)

I understand your concern….

I received the same email however I did read the T&C’s and they clearly state the Era 100 (and Ray)  is not part of the program. I was able to use it on a Sub 4 just as a test.

The only thing I can think of (and it’s not about transparency) is that the body of the email might have stated “Product Exclusions Do Apply” or “Not All Products are Eligible” and following that “Please Read the T&C’s to learn which Sonos products are not eligible for discount”.

BTW in your post what does “T&Cs should be for things like timing” mean 🤔

I don’t think sales will override the exclusions but maybe I will try.  Thanks for suggesting it.

You state this well.  T&C are not a good place for exclusions; more like this sale lasts until X date.  Your suggestion is what Sonos should have done and a lot of us would not have wasted time.

Sales might not be able to change the rules but  at least they can feedback your compmaint to the proper marketing folks.

Sonos staff don't regularly monitor the forums and when the moderators do see something here their ability to direct things to other departments is limited.

FYI…Regardless of what the email offered by way of a discount it would not apply to products already discounted on the Sonos website as shown in the post above. Sonos does not allow “stacking” of discounts. That has been a standing rule for years. It’s also stated in the T&C’s.

yeah makes it all the more confusing.  Does that apply to a two room discount?  So is the discount then smart to apply the greater of, or just deny it.  They need to work on this.

The system is smart enough to figure out what discount to apply which happens when the buyer has a discount code to enter. If the discount code entered by the buyer is greater than the website discount the code discount will be applied. If not the website discount will be applied. Never will a code discount and website discount be added together or “stacked”.

However, in the case of the email discount there is no code to be entered by the buyer. Therefore, the email 30% would be applied if applicable to an eligible product.

Granted it can be a bit confusing but makes sense once you understand the discount mechanism.

Just to be clear, the prices shown on my post are with the upgrade voucher(s) applied... without which they resort to full, not discounted, prices.

Just looked again and the discount is not automatically applied for some items (100's, Ace) and the voucher count is not available to be incremented.

However, add a product where it is automatically applied (Sub4) and the voucher count appears and can then be incremented manually and so be applied to the 100's, Ace ect. already in the basket.

Remove the unwanted item (Sub4) andall discounts remain with the voucher count decreasing by 1 appropriately.

(still not for the SL though...)

Made me laugh.  Except the last line.  Thanks.
