My Beam soundbar only occasionally connects to my TV without a bunch of extra effort.  What do I need to do to fix this?  

 

Nevermind.  Google tells me this is a common problem.  The easiest solution is to return it to Costco.

What model TV do you have? Is the Beam connected to your TV’s HDMI ARC port or optical port? Have you enabled CEC in your TV’s settings? Is there any other external device connected to your TV?


How have you chosen to connect the Beam to the TV? ARC/eARC or Optical connection? If using Arc/eARC then enable HDMI-CEC on the TV and ideally switch off CEC on any other connected HDMI peripherals. If using optical, check the connections and that all cable covers have been completely removed.
