Trying to change the network settings on my Sonos Arc Ultra system. Have tried via iPhone and iPad; seems like the update times out and various stages of the process and I get the dreaded “Something went wrong” message.

I’ve tried via phone and iPad, disabled the 5ghz broadcast on the router, and plugging the sub into ethernet (not into router). I’ve also validated the Sonos app is up to date, as well as tried forgetting and re-logging into the wireless network. No luck.

Any help/advice would be appreciated. Thank you!

What is prompting you to change “network settings?

  1. Are you trying to mitigate interference by changing the channel?
  2. Are you changing ISP and/or routers?

Set up my new system in a brand new house; was originally using the wireless router provided by my internet provider. I’m trying to switch the network to my Deco mesh network.

I did not disable the original wireless router provided by my internet provider; I’m simply trying to change to a network that has better coverage in my house.

OK

The easiest way to accomplish your task in the order listed below….

  1. Unplug all Sonos
  2. Unplug your Deco Mesh if connected
  3. Place the ISP router in Bridge mode (not doing so creates two networks unnecessarily that can cause conflicts)
  4. Setup your Deco Mesh using the same SSID and Password that you used on your network at your previous residence
  5. Connect your device (phone or tablet)
  6. Update your device if necessary
  7. Delete the Sonos app
  8. Plug in your Sonos and let them come back (wait 5 minutes after plugging in last component)
  9. Re-install the Sonos app
  10. Select Join existing system
  11. Accept all prompts
  12. At home page of app Click the cog wheel in upper right corner
  13. Sign-in with your credentials

Your Sonos should be available and, on your network,
