should I quick tune my 2 sonos era 100s before I add them as surrounds to my beam? I do not have any apple products to use true play

No, there is no need to, as the sound/speaker changes when connected as surround.

Remember, you should NOT set them up as a stereo pair before connecting them as surround, otherwise they cannot be connected. They must be added to the same room as your soundbar and then connected individually to your soundbar/Sub.

all sorted now, nephew had an iphone so used trueplay 👍🥃🎅
