You’ll have to forgive me, I’m really not technical. I have a Beam 2 connected to my Samsung tv via optic cable for the Dolby Atmos. Both have Alexa capacity, I currently have Alexa turned on on the Beam but not the tv - I can turn tv on/off and control volume but I can’t open platforms/search etc and would like to.
Can both be turned on? Am I better just staying as I am? I also have an Era with Hey Sonos activated but they just turn themselves on and off when they want, usually interrupting a conversation. I hope I’ve explained it correctly, I think I’m over my head. TIA

In the same room you only need one Alexa voice active. Choose the device you’d like to have as primary for Alexa and disable it on the other.

If you want to use Sonos Voice Control (SVC) that’s a personal preference. Incidentally, Alexa and SVC can co-exist on the same Sonos speaker.

However, SVC is limited in its functionality versus Alexa. SVC on the other hand allows for better privacy as it’s not a cloud-based voice assistant like Alexa. All SVC conversations are stored on the Sonos device and not on a cloud server.
