Sub Gen 3 pairs with Sub 4 & Arc Ultra, then after 5 minutes Sub 3 drops off and shows as Not Connected, wont reconnect!

Hi all,

I took the plunge 2 months ago and upgraded from Arc, Sub Gen 3 & 2xOne to Ultra, dual sub with Sub Gen 4 & 3, 2 x Era 300's. Absolutely loved it.

In the last 48 hours though, I noticed Sub Gen 3 had dropped off and showed as 'Not Connected' in the app. I could not get it back into this set up or any other set up, seemed bricked but white status light still steady.

I performed multiple hard resets on all the speakers (was not hitchless as both subs decided to not reveal the pin via NFC when setting back up, which definitely did work before) and even moved the problem sub away from the router (was extremely close before).

Still had issues and ultimately resulted in the same result. I then reset the router and performed all of the above again. Still no joy.

24 hours later, the sub 3 appeared as Connected so I went ahead and added back to the Arc Ultra. Even performed Trueplay (auto not advanced), was good for about 15 minutes and then it dropped off again, unable to rejoin.

I've run out of options now, any suggestions welcomed - thanks

Arc Ultra - Sub 4 - Sub 3 - Era 300's - Era 100's & Sub Mini - One's - Five - Beam - Play 1's - Playbar & Roam

There was an app and firmware update recently. Did you happen to install it?

If not, try doing that to see if it helps. Sonos recommends you keep everything up to date.

Thanks Pools-3015 - In the middle of the hard resets I was presented with the upgrades,  which did eventually complete (failed first time).

Was hoping that this was the underlying issue but sub 3 dropped off again today.

With the mix of old and new gear you have, I would give hardwiring a couple of main speakers a try for troubleshooting purposes.

Ultra for sure, Beam and Playbar if possible. Don't use a sub or surround speaker for this.

If it solves the issue, consider making it permanent.

Great idea. I'll try this next.

The annoyance for me is it was fine for 2 months, no change to network in that time.

Thanks again for the advice, will report back.
