I have an older somos amp I want to use as surrounds. Can I use the sonos arc with the s1 app?

The Arc is S2 only, as I recall. The Sonos Amp also runs S2, although there are two series of the CONNECT:AMP, one which will run S2, the other won’t.
in order to support surround data (or any shared data at all) both have to be running the version of the Sonos operating system.
