Ray connecting remote control does not work

When I try to connect a remote control the Ray via the app , in the app it almost immediately jumps to the next step stating no signal was detected. This is so fast that I do not even have time to push any button on the remote control.

anyone that has seen this before or tips how to solve this? I already restarted and even reset the Ray, still the same

Hi @Tjitze

We believe our latest speaker firmware update resolved this issue. Please go to Settings Icon » General Settings » System Updates » Check for Updates to ensure you have the latest version, then try again (if you did not already succeed).

I hope this helps.

Hi @Tjitze

Welcome to the Sonos Community!

Sorry to hear about this issue you are having with programming your Ray to work with your remote.

We are aware of this issue where the app will move on to providing an error message before you’ve had a chance to press any remote buttons, and we are investigating, though we do not have an estimate for when this might be resolved.

In some instances, it seems some users are able to repeatedly press the requested remote button even after the error message has been displayed and successfully progress to the next step.

I hope this helps.

Hello Corry P,

Okay, thanks for your reply, then I will try a few more times, maybe I get lucky. Hope that this will be resolved soon!
