You MUST have a premium Netflix subscription to get Dolby Atmos audio. The Dolby Atmos audio track is almost always on the ORIGINAL language audio track only. TV brand will not make any difference.

When streaming, you want to see “Dolby Digital Plus 5.1” or “Dolby Atmos”. When gaming on the PS5, you want to see “Multichannel PCM 5.1”.

Is that ok?

Yes. You don’t need eARC activated when using the TV’s native apps. The only time you need to activate eARC is when you are gaming on the PS5 (and have the audio setting on the PS5 set to Linear PCM) or if you want to watch Blu-ray discs on the PS5.

It doesn’t ever turn off completely. It automatically goes into an idle mode after three minutes of not detecting an audio signal. If you want to turn it off completely, you need to unplug it from power.
