Lip Sync Playbase issue but only with BBC

I know this is weird but its also real and annoying.

 

Since since up  There was an issue with lip sync.  Part of the problem was I have lip sync “changers” on my Sky Q box, my television and the sonos app.

Last night I had to take this in hand and try to sort it.  I put all three lip sync changers back to zero and concentrated on only using the TV one.   In short it sort of worked.  Every channel is now OK apart from BBC1 which is out of sync.  I cannot understand how a single channel can be acting differently to all the others.  Trouble is we watch BBC1 quite a bit.

Anybody know a solution?

I get this sometimes and I’ve isolated it down to the Sky Q box.  I don’t think there is anything that Sonos can do as it is channel specific.

Some addition weird results that I’ve experienced:

  1. It doesn’t appear on recorded programmes
  2. The issue is better or worse across different times of the day
  3. iPlayer doesn’t have this issue
