Help with in ceiling placement

What’s your seating position? A couch next to “672ft2”? The speakers would be to your right then. Not good. This would be better. Wall mounted speakers or speakers on stands at ear height would be best for sound.

Thanks for the quick reply! The TV is wall-mounted on the  bottom wall, and our seating area is right next to it. Since I really want to stick with ceiling speakers, would it help to use angled ceiling speakers that point directly toward the TV/seating area instead of straight down?

Use the Sonos / Sonance speakers that have a directionably adjustable tweeter. Having the ability to run a full Trueplay session will likely help the final sound.

Centered on the couch and a bit behind it will likely sound the most even, and give the best surround image.

Can you position your couch in the drawing you posted?

Luckily the picture isn’t blank on my iPad, but I interpreted the rectangle drawn above “53.5m2 / 672ft2” as a kitchen table, not a couch.

That is the first post and it is the kitchen counter.

The couch was shown in the following post that now is blank.

I was hoping the autnor would repost it.

The couch was in front of the Arc location and a few feet from the rear wall. The blue dots are in about the right speaker position, need shifted in from the side wall a bit.

Basically what you show for position, but shifted in to be centered on the couch.

Directional speakers wouldn't be my choice, flat mounted ones with directionally adjustable tweeters would be.
