I’m going to be mounting my TV tomorrow  morning so I really hope someone answers this in time for me 😬.

I have my Sonos arc ultra sitting on the front of my fireplace mantle. There is approximately 3.25” from the back of the Sonos to the wall where my TV is going to be mounted. I’m doing the thinnest wall mount I could find (1” from wall). The TV depth is 2.25” (3.25” with mount), so that leaves the back of the Sonos speaker flush with the front of the TV screen. As I unfortunately need to mount the TV higher than I would like in general, I’m trying to keep height as minimal as I can. As the Sonos arc is not mounted directly below the TV on the wall the tv is mounted, but in front of the TV by a few inches, do I still need to adhere to the 4” distance between the two? I’m under the impression that is mainly because of the upward firing speakers and you don’t want that to bounce off the bottom of the TV… but I wanted to additionally ask if there are concerns regarding any magnetism of the speaker and it having impact on the TV (83” LG C4 OLED)?

From a mounting perspective, the TV will be mounted about .3 to at most .5 inches above the height of the Sonos arc.

Looking forward to anyones help and feedback, and hopefully that because the speaker is in front of the TV, I can largely ignore the normal 4” rule.

No magnetic or electrical issues to worry about.

Do the best you can to meet the Sonos mounting suggestions and see how it sounds. Worst case make a shelf extender to allow you to slide the Arc a couple inches forward. You might also look at the wall mount bracket and see if that can be adapted to forward mounting the Arc.

If ARC is positioned in front of the plane of the TV, the vertical separation is not important.
