Hi all, unlike some I genuinely need help, I am a complete technophobe. I have a massive problem connecting my Sub gen 3, the Arc connects perfectly, the sub sets up without a problem but nothing happens, the app says it’s not connected and my WiFi says it’s offline, I suspect IP issues but neither Sonos or Vodafone will help 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Hi Ian I’ve got this far after following App deletion, setting up Arc and one Era in a separate room where too next

Arc and Era have solid white LED’s that I turned on in settings

I’ve made it on to my router settings and the Arc is on 2.4ghz and the Era 300 is on 5ghz

Sorry about the delay, next step is to add the second Era 300, but don’t make it a stereo pair with the first one, it needs to effectively be in a 3rd room

Hi Ian, no problem at all, work/life gets in the way Lol, I’m at work again, will continue later, thanks again

If the 2nd Era300 adds ok, and comes up with a white light, I’d go straight into the Arc settings and try add surrounds. It should then let you select the two Era300’s… If that works (!!) then again from the Arc settings try add subwoofer… good luck!

Thank you Ian, I’m going in, Sonos set up number 963 and counting….. 🤣

It was all going so well, got solid white lights on Arc and Speakers, but then…..

Bugger!!

On the WiFi setting for the Vodafone router, is there anything that looks either like ‘split WiFi’ or would allow you to change the name of the 5GHz WiFi only?

Hi Ian, this is where I get lost, however I’ve never learnt so much about WiFi, thanks to the video you sent me, so apparently I have Vodafone Super WiFi, which locks most of the settings and can only be disabled by Vodafone which they won’t do, splitting it I think is exactly what I need to do but can’t, so I have swapped Vodafone for Sky as all my friends are on Sky and have no trouble at all, this goes live on the 18th so I’m going to stop bothering you now and hopefully I’ll have a positive update in a couple of weeks, but genuinely thank you for all your help

To be fair no-one should need to know that much about WiFi at home… The only other thing to try with the Vodafone setup is if it lets you, disable the DFS setting on the 5GHz WiFi… otherwise, good luck with Sky.

Hi all, I just wanted to give an update as I know that you have all tried to help for which I have been very grateful, I binned off Vodafone and obviously their router, went with Sky and it all works perfectly, well worth the wait, but thanks to all who tried to help - don’t use Vodafone
