Have seen a video from Not Enough Tech, regarding using 2 era 300 as surrounds and 2 era 300 as a stereo pair, along with arc and 2 subs. What do you think of his setup?

That video, and that setup, are horrible.  First, the sound will either echo, or be out of sync with the video.  Second, it destroys any front soundstage by making the left and right channels doubled and spread out.  And third, that video causes people to think that idiotic setup will actually work.

Not a fan. The Sonos ‘Home theater’ paradigm is set up for an Arc, up to two Subs, and two surround speakers. Adding a second ‘room’ to that muddies things for home theater use.

Now, for playing streaming music, I’m a huge fan, all will be in sync.
