Under TV Mount for Beam Ultra?

I’m considering replacing my Beam Gen 2 with the Ultra, however I cannot find adequate information on how I would have to mount it to my TV. My Beam 2 is mounted to my LG TV with this mount: Mounting Dream Soundbar Mount Designed for SONOS Beam

Ideally there would be a mount that could attach to the existing brackets so I don’t have to remove my 77” TV from it’s swivel wall mount. I’ve not had any luck finding information about this. Ideas?.

Below is from the product guide: Sonos Beam Ultra

Here’s the sonos wall mount: Sonos Beam Ultra Wall Mount

The Beam Ultra has the mounting holes on the back. The Beam Gen 2 has them on the bottom. It doesn’t look like it can work with your soundbar mount. Maybe they’re planning on making one for the Beam Ultra?

Wall mount

Use the Beam Ultra Wall Mount (sold separately) to mount Beam Ultra to the wall below (recommended) or above your TV.

Beam Ultra is not compatible with wall mounts for other Sonos soundbars, including Beam Gen 2, Arc, and Arc Ultra. Using an incompatible mount poses a safety risk.

The TV is mounted in a corner so a wall mount is not a solution (unless it could be mounted to my existing brackets).

Sonos are selling a new wall mount for Ultra. Earler Beam mounts are completely incompatible with Ultra. To allow its new upward-firing speakers to work properly, Ultra needs to be mounted at least 15cm/6 inches below the bottom of the TV. It is likely to be inadvisable to mount it suspended from the TV.

My current Beam 2 is positioned just forward of the bottom of the TV and any mount that positions it similarly would be quite ideal both acoustically and aesthetically.

I keep looking at that mount. If you removed the platform w/brackets the Beam 2 sits on, you could bolt the Beam Ultra Wall Mount to it. You would need to drill a couple (4) holes. I guess it depends on your ability with that kind of thing. I don’t think I would do it. But I know lots of people that would.

Or ask Mounting Dream if they are planning a new mount for Beam Ultra.

I am thinking about attaching a pair of L-brackets to the rear of an Ultra and then bolting them onto the mounting points of the previous Beam. I just need to figure out a way to cushion the bottom of the Ultra so the brackets don’t scratch things. The mount would allow me to lower the mount a bit more so that’s not an issue.

I’ve been in touch with Mounting Dream and while they don’t yet offer a mount for the Ultra, they have been amazingly responsive and offered to send me bolts and spacers to see if that would work. I am thoroughly impressed with their willingness to help.

I have used Mole Skin, the blister treatment sheets, to make some very nice bracket pads. a touch of laundry marker and they anr a nice deep black.
