TCL Series 8 -  65Q825 - Roku TV e-arc capable.

Verizon Fios One Cable Box

Sonos Arc

Sonos Arc connected directly to HDMI arc port on TV - #4 port. Cable box connected via HDMI to TV.

TV display list e-arc in port # 4. Will NOT detect CEC. States “no CEC devices found”. Not receiving

Dolby Atmos as a result on known Atmos sources.

Very frustrated. Any help much appreciated.

Is it a matter of turning on components in a certain order ?

Thanks in advance

Sounds like you need to turn on CEC on the TV.

rtings.com says “enable 'HDMI 2.0' in the HDMI Mode menu” so try that, and it also says this TV cannot pass thru Atmos so you are probably SOL even once CEC works.

The HDMI is on 2.0 and rtings.com is wrong. The TV can pass Atmos as it is eARC capable due to

a firmware update.
