When you play from Spotify app, do you hear music through the rear speakers only, or the rear speakers and Arc?
Does the audio appear to be louder from your rear speakers?
Asking questions to get a better idea of what changes your Son made.
I hear music from arc and rear speakers and louder from arc rather than reat speakers.
Thank you.

Thank you.
Are the rear speakers louder than they used to be? I am wondering if your son adjust the volume level of the rear speakers.

In your surround settings, your son in law will have set music playback to Full so that music plays in stereo on the Arc and on the rears. This has no impact on TV viewing.
The surrounds have a different level setting for TV. On the app, go to Settings then tap the ‘room’ your Arc is in. Scroll down to Surround Audio and there you can adjust the slider for TV to turn the surrounds up or down for TV watching. See if adjusting this one way or the other helps you get some clarity.
(Note that if the broadcast is in Dolby Atmos or Dolby Digital 5.1, you’ll often hear virtually nothing from the surrounds much of the time as the main sound will be centred on your Arc, with only localised sound effects playing from the surrounds. For stereo broadcasts, often with live terrestrial stations, you will hear more from the surrounds.)
