No, unfortunately not. The TV’s remote control will only control the Sonos ‘room’ that is connected to your TV, and there is no way to add to that existing ‘room’. You can certainly put more Sonos speakers in the same physical room (I have), but they have to be part of a different ‘room’ in the software, and won’t be controlled by the TV’s remote.
Cheers for the response - thought that was the case.
Doubt there is any chance of SONOS making it an option on a future App update - sure they had something similar a few years ago when they were offering Dolby 7.1 systems
It’s been asked for for many, many years. So far, they’ve not produced it. That doesn’t mean it won’t be in the next update, but chances are pretty small.
Sonos has never offered a Dolby 7.1 system per se. All of their home theater products have been based around a sound bar, to surround speakers, and up to two Subs. Or, instead of a three speaker sound bar, a two speaker Amp, with a faux / interpolated center channel.
Beam does support voice control, so you can control group and/or room volume that way.
You could use a 3rd party app to configure the additional One SL as front left and right speakers.
That way, there won’t be the 75ms delay due to grouping, and you can control all speakers with the TV remote as they are considered to be one room. There may be limitations using such a setup as it is not officially supported, but it is a possible option.

Thanks all for your responses - interesting comment from Tom Conrad on Reddit - I wasn’t aware of the bandwidth/packet drop issues but look forward to the next 12-18 months to see how much they are listening to their customers & providing what the customers want rather than what the Company thinks the customer wants
