Sonos 5.1 setup

Rear speaker positioning for a 5.1 setup. Should the rear speakers be facing in towards the room or straight ahead? When I have them forward facing, I barely hear anything 'behind' me. When I angle them in towards my ears, it is much more immersive. I have true-tuned the room.

You want ALL your speakers to point directly at your listening position.

That's why it's more immersive when you angle them towards you

You can refer to this diagram found at the following URL for recommended speaker placement.

Personally listening position doesn't allow me to angle the speakers but I found that I like them facing each other instead of firing forward into the room.
