Samsung Q80T 65" with Arc - Volume Display on Screen?

Maybe someone might know if the Q80T volume display is still shown on volume changes when connected to an Arc?

Thanks,

Carl

Hi @ckeyes888, welcome to the Sonos Community! We greatly appreciate you being a part of the Sonos family. It is our pleasure.

Just to let you know that if you’re using the ARC connection which is a two-way connection between the TV and soundbar, it should show the volume display. Following that the TV accepts CEC commands and it’s enabled so we should expect any volume command to cause a volume notification on the screen but this is more on the TV implementation and you may confirm it with the manufacturer. We can also wait for other user’s experience. I’d be happy to share this thread as well if this would be helpful for you.

Please let us know if there’s anything else we can help you with. We and the community are always here.

Carl, your TV will show “Receiver” with a picture of a HiFi amplifier. A plus or minus will flash, depending on the remote input.

Yes, it does now flash a + or - sign when changing volume. No indication though of what the volume actually is.

Curious what the purpose is of the Sonos input splash screen. Was hoping that when on input that music info,

artist/song title etc. would be displayed?

Maybe someway to have that happen?

Thanks,

Carl
