Play1 not used as surrounds w/ Sonos Arc Ultra

Am I right in  thinking that Sonos Play1 can be used in separate rooms but not as surround speakers with arc ultra sound bar? Connected using wifi not Airplay

    You can use the app Sonosequencr to add Play:1s as surrounds with Arc Ultra.
