Yea pretty bare bones - what is your video source (cable box) - it should have optical you can attach direct to source the optical cable.
Thanks. That actually worked. Now how do I go about getting my fire stick to play sound through sonos? I read some suggestions but I don’t see anything that says music,Video, books on the top of my Alexa app! Please advise

You will need something like this to split of the audio from HMDI. https://www.amazon.com/iArkPower-Optical-Extractor-Splitter-Supports/dp/B01K7BZ1XC
Hi - sounds like I have similar problem. I have 2011 Samsung tv model LD3D403E4D. It has no Arc or optical port. Which adaptor would you recommend? Many thanks

I would recommend plugging the beam into source like the optical out of cable box.
Thanks Chris - I don’t have a source except Roku. Is there a switch/convertor that could work? Possible via the RCA or HDMI ports?
