Combine Playbar with Play:1 and Play:5 for surround and sub

Hi, I have two question and I couldn't find clear answers to them yet:

- Can I combine the Playbar with one Play:1 and one Play:5 as surround speakers? Setting don't allow it, but is there a workaround?

- Can I use my Play:5 as Sub for the Playbar? Again settings don't seem to allow it, but it has a lot of bass and should be able to complement the other speakers with bass. Is there a workaround?

Cheers!

Yea. I and no

Surrounds have to be like pairs (2 play5, 2 Play 1, 2 play3 etc.)

Not even 1st and second gen can be paired as with play 5gen1/gen2 and play1/sonos1

No, there's no work around for pairing a PLAY:1 and a PLAY:5. They're too disparate, sonically.

No, the PLAY:5 will not work as a sub. That's why they make (and want you to pay for) the SUB.
