Best HDMI cable to connect beam to LG oled TV

What’s your budget? There are some very expensive (though not necessarily “best”) cables out there.

Budget not as important as getting the best HDMI cable however would not pay silly money for a cable

I was looking at this one UGREEN HDMI 2.1 Cable 8K HDMI Cable Certified 8K 60Hz 4K 240Hz Ultra High Speed 48Gbps Aluminum eARC HDCP Dynamic HDR

I tried a hdmi cable that originally was used to connect my old Denon surround sound system but that cable did not give me any sound on the tv so I guess it was an older type HDMI

I’ll just get a newer one thanks

Why not use the cable that came with the Beam?

As I said in my first post the original cable seems to have developed a fault and doesn’t work hence needing a replacement

Ugreen works very well for me with LG and Arc Ultra:

UGREEN HDMI 2.1 Cable 10K 8K 4K 1440P@240/165/144/120Hz eARC HDR Ultra High Speed 48Gbps HDCP 2.3 Dolby Atmos Vision Compatible with PS5/4 Xbox Series S/X Soundbar TV Gaming Monitor Laptop PC DVD(2M)

When shopping for cables I stick to brands with a good reputation, sellers too, as you don't want a knockoff with near zero quality or worse, out of spec connectors, that can damage your equipment.

I then look at the cable, if it is overly stiff it is going to put a lot of stress on the equipment connection sockets. They are not usually replaceable or repairable! The end connectors get a similar look, if they aren't going to connect without excessive stress or are so over-sized they require carving off material to fit into the socket shroud I look elsewhere.

I don't recommend them as a first choice solution but there are 90 degree HDMI elbows in various orientations that can help if the space is really tight. Think a flush wall mount with a half inch between the TV and wall.

The latest HDMI version is 2.2 but I don't think anything Sonos uses the newer options. Not finding an actual HDMI spec number in the Sonos product documentation, just "use the supplied cable."

I do not think the cable in the picture is the cable that came with the Beam - whence my remark.

I am pretty cdrtain this has been asked before but I cannot find any reference to it so here goes:-

My HDMI cable connecting my LG TV to my Sonos Beam has developed a fault (picture below), what is the best high speed HDMI cable that is compatible with my system please?

@Tony Levy

I would strongly suggest sticking with the HDMI cable supplied by Sonos if you are just using the standard setup; it is more than adequate for processing the standard audio data between your TV and the soundbar.

However, if you are using an external media player like an Nvidia Shield Pro to run high-bitrate 4K Remux files over 40GB, the standard advice of "any old cable will do" doesn't quite hold up. For that kind of heavy data load, I would highly recommend investing in a properly certified, passive HDMI cable made from 99.99% oxygen-free copper. Upgrading to a certified Ultra High Speed cable completely resolved the minor audio sync issues I was experiencing with high-bitrate files, ensuring a completely stable signal with zero interference.
