Beam/ TV Connectivity

I have a Sonos Beam with [2] Play:1’s connected to a Toshiba Fire TV, with the Beam connected through the HDMI/ARC input.  Any time the TV is turned off/ it does not start up with the Beam as the audio output - it always defaults to the TV’s internal speakers.  The CEC is turned on, PCM is turned on.  No other HDMI inputs.  DO I need to unplug everything any time I want the Beam to be the audio output???  All firmware is updated for TV and Beam..  Autoplay is on and obviously not working.

Do you have the TV Speakers setting on your TV turned off?

Why is your TV set to PCM? Why not set it to Dolby Digital?

It also might be worth rebooting the TV’s operating system, by unplugging it from the wall for two minutes, then plugging it back in.
