I build a home cinema, used my exsisting Sonos setup, bought an Arc og two Aces.
Me and my wife where ready to watch movies together after the kids went to sleep. Now I learned that you cannot connect two Aces to one Arc. What a disappointment...thats the one and only reason I bought and Arc and two Aces…
When will this be possible?

Sorry to hear of your disappointment. We’ve conducted user research and learned the most common use case for wearing headphones with a home theatre system is for viewing content alone, so you don’t disturb others in your household. We’ll continue to learn how customers are using Sonos Ace and explore additional features over time. I can’t give you a time frame.

This is beyond disappointing. Apple supports two pairs of headphones on their Apple TVs, and Ace misses to consider one of the most common use cases in a family household, which might have already multiple Sonos speakers: two people sharing a movie with their own headphones, to not disturb the rest of the family.
Do a quick search on Amazon: all Bluetooth audio transmitters support TWO connections, for this same reason.
Please allow grouping compatible sound bars, and then connecting a pair of headphones to each, if there are computing limits in terms of sound quality.
Sonos selling these headphones in bundles, creates the perception that this use case is supported on this system.
I love your speakers, but all the app issues plus now this, really you’re taking a hit on customer trust.
I can group my one and playbar and roam and get TV sound everywhere- don’t understand why ace can’t be added as well- this would solve the issue as just choose the aces and lower the playbar volume…?
This was my thought and understanding on how these would work as well. I didn’t buy Sonos headphone to leave the house. I bought them as an add on for my home theater. I don’t need Bluetooth on them, I need them to be on my WiFi like the rest of my Sonos system, and I need them to be in the app as a speaker like the rest. Not sure how they missed this and assumed we wanted a home theater company to make headphone to travel and leave the home with.
I travel for work, and most if not all travelers are either wearing Bose or AirPods. I have yet to see a pair of Ace’s in the wild.

Honestly, it was brought up internally before launch and I don’t think anyone at Sonos has forgotten about it. There will be no updates - they just don’t happen. Either the feature will become available one day, without much warning, or it will not. As mentioned in my second post here, it may not be as easy an engineering lift as it may seem at first glance.

I’ll be returning my aces this week and moving to two pairs of AirPod Max’s that allow this feature.
Frankly it's a bit of a shambles of a product.
An overpriced, underperforming set of headphones that one person can listen to the TV on, or use as any other regular set of headphones...
SONOS has always been (/was) about integrated, flexible, stable, easy to use and quality wireless components.
Had they developed the headphones that fit with what people look to their brand for… ultimately a set that works just like one of their. speakers which can be grouped or ungrouped like any other Sonos speaker, people would be buyig these in droves to avoid needing Connects / Ports paired with bluetooth or radio transmitters. A real shame. It would be interesting if Sonos actually are going off market research, if it would appear that they might wish to reconsider how they are conducting their research and start to think about what ‘SONOS’ as a brand stands for….
There was the following article on the Japanese review site. I'm very happy if it's true, but I wonder how it is

I also believed that two pairs of ace could be connected to sound bar, this is very disappointing to both of us and sincerely hope that this is remedied as a matter of urgency . . .
