Sonos Ace listening together

Am i stupid for thinking i could listen with my partner together if there’s a bundle package for sale?

I just received the two, which i bought because there’s a baby on its way and we got these so we could still watch movies without waking the baby up. After some struggling i finally got each individually connected and was excited to test them together. Not an option. Unable to pair them together.

Now..  why on earth would you offer a pair on the website when you can’t listen together?

I feel so stupid for thinking i was able to listen together.

Really hope this is gonna be supported in an update.

Yes, Sonos really screwed up on their communication. They are selling a pair of Sonos Aces on their website with the description “Quietly share an immersive home theater experience with someone when you swap TV audio from Sonos Arc” and it isn’t even supported.

Makes it sound like it was yet another unfinished item in the half-baked app.

God damn it. Straight up lying unless it’s coming in a future release. In that case they should add a note to it on the site.

It could get them in to a bit of trouble in some places. I can well see people return these to retailers here if they bought with the assumption two could be used. Hopefully a minor cost all round.

”Quietly share an immersive home theatre experience with someone when you swap TV audio from Sonos Arc.”

I’d like to know if someone wrote and meant that intentionally. It is quite brilliantly said :) You can indeed quietly share the moment as they won’t then hear anything but your Ace will rock on.

Too bad it can easily be misunderstood and it becomes misleading advertising.

I had the below this morning.

Just wow. How can this not be deemed misleading?

I’m surprised they are still marketing them like this a month later. Making customers angry is not usually a good strategy but maybe it’s working for them.

They’ll keep up the advertising pressure until the downward trend of the share price is reversed

These numbers do not suggest that Sonos is in trouble. What they show is that the new App, Ace and Roam 2 have not had the positive impact that they will have been hoping for,
