I don't seem to be able to get anything other than lossless in Apple music when listening with my Sonos ace. Settings are set for spatial but is there something else I need to do? Thanks

Thank you. As it turns out, my Google pixel 8 phone does not support Dolby Atmos playback so that's why I wasnt getting it.

Hi @jellycat,

We have a support article for listening to Spatial Audio on the Sonos Ace. While it doesn’t say you need to setup the Ace in the Sonos App to get spatial audio, you do have to if you want to adjust the Head Tracking option. Other than that, I don’t see any additional requirements for getting Spatial Audio on the Ace.

If the Apple Music app has the Dolby Atmos badge, then I’d assume that’s what the Ace is playing. I have seen users mention setting the Dolby Atmos setting in the Apple Music app to ‘Always On’ instead of ‘Automatic’ helps.

I hope this information helps!
