connecting Sonos Ace and Beam gen 2

Should I be able to connect those two and swap from Beam to Ace?

When I try to configure Ace to play TV sound from Beam it says that no compatible Sonos soundbar is detected. And both are on turned on and visible in the app.

Beam/Ace swapping has been added in today’s app update.

I've got the update, I've connected the Ace and the Beam, I get the Audio Swap icon in the app.

When I push that, or try to use the button on the headphones, nothing happens. Sound continues on the TV, headphones remain silent.

Am I doing something wrong?

Someone suggested rebooting the headphones and the sound bar. Not had the opportunity to do that yet.

Rebooting soundbar sorted it for me

Rebooted did not work for me. Still does not connect. Set up the headphones from scratch, gone through setting up Audio Swap again and again. Press the buttons on the headphones or on the app- lots of Bluetooth connection noises, then nothing.

@Bo33b That’s a feature request that Sonos has previously acknowledged is on the long list.

Is it possible to combine two Aces with a Beam?

No, you can only use one Ace with a Sonos soundbar, at least for now (despite Sonos marketing them as a pair for home theatre listening). But you’re not the first by a long way to ask the question, so I’d imagine it’s been noted.

Thanks - Showstopper without audio on BOTH Ace & Beam. Is there a list, or schedule, of firmware features to be added?

Not that I have ever seen for the Ace - unless anyone can link to this somewhere??

I think their updates are quite ad hoc and reactive at the moment as the headphones are so new.
