Sonos UNREACHABLE from Google HOME

Whenever I try to link google to Sonos I get that SONOS IS UNREACHABLE error.

This has been ongoing for the past 4 days since I got my new device. At this point I am better off returning it and sticking to another brand of speakers.

Hi @Kazamaza et al

We now consider this issue to have been resolved with yesterday’s update. If you still encounter issues, please ensure your Sonos system and app are up-to-date, and if the issues persists, I recommend you get in touch with our technical support team who have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your Sonos system and what it reports.

I hope this helps.

Hi @Mackeale

Apologies - I misunderstood.

Another user just reported the same issue on another thread - I recommended that they remove whichever music service they are using from both Google Home and Sonos, then re-add them. It did not help, but I still think it is worth you trying, just in case it works for some and not others.

Please also try rebooting all devices involved, including the router by switching it off for at least 30 seconds. Reboot the speakers after the router.

I hope this helps.

Yeah I saw that, I’m in both threads haha. I just tried both steps but unfortunately it didn’t help. :(

Hi @Mackeale

Understood, and thanks for trying.

I am hoping this is not a pattern, but at present, all I can suggest is that you get touch with our technical support team who have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your Sonos system and what it reports.

Thank you @Corry P and the team who tirelessly works behind to resolve this issue.

We all sound very angry simply because of the lack of transparency and communication - this could be done better in the future but great that we are all back with our Sonos with GA.

Many thanks!

I actually got the same issue as well - When I ask Google to play Spotify on Sonos, it doesn’t play anything. Would this be an issue or just simply Spotify doesn’t play on Sonos?
