Since Yesterday I have lost Partielly then completely all connections to Google assistant.

It stated from 1 of my Sonos One, then it extended to a Roam....

I restarted my router and all devices but no joy.

It king of worked with e Roam for a minute then went south again after I reconnected a One...

Removed all links to Google assistant in Sonos and Google Home.

BTW, Google Home only sees a few Sonos devices, not all of them.... Odd.

I have then tried to add the service back but it just never manage to do it

First attempt after phone reboot takes me to home assistant config and it ends-up not finding any device.

If I try again, the Google assistant never shows again, there seems to have a hidden window of it but nothing I do can make it show. I tried this on 2 different android phones, same results.

I am now stuck with no assistant at all. Alexa won't activate and So is assistant just did not want to finalize the setup either..…

Seriously WTF is goi g onnat SONOS. The giant  connected speaker maker seems to have fallen very low in reliability. You got your ass whooped by Google, get over it and be the company who is proud of what it provide it's loyal customers…

Right now, reading a lot of problem posts here, it seems that you cannot get your things together with your app.... It worked and I changed NOTHING.... It went south and that is all I have now, wireless audio that works but the main perks that mattered ... Gone :-(

Also, I am an it tech so don't try to BS me in tech terms... My wifi is fine, works fine, has proper bandwidth, close enough to all speakers (they now work in the Sonos app again).... Issue is between you and Google, just fix it ..... Please.

Hi @sedrickgates

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues with Google Assistant. There was a Google Assistant issue reported recently, and this was for connecting the service to your account which has since been resolved.

You’ve already done a few steps, which were to reboot your system and to removing then re-add Google Assistant. If you have Google Gemini installed on your device, uninstall it while you’re adding Google Assistant to your Sonos system.

Another suggestion is to unlink your Sonos account in Google Home by going to the Google Home App → Settings → Works with Google (under settings) → Sonos → Unlink account.

After you’ve done the above, try adding Google Assistant back to your system and testing voice commands. If the app still fails to finalize adding Google Assistant, then I’d recommend submitting a diagnostics after trying to add Google Assistant then reaching out to our support team for further troubleshooting.

I hope this helps!

Hi,

Issue was, it seems the Google assistant side of it.

I retried the next day and it went fine.

I had already removed Gemini which is a useless upgrade so far ;-)

This is really a pita that it breaks so easily without any notice.

Lucky we have our phones and also switches on all appliances.

Got ourselves a new Nest Speaker, and thinking about a Hub too.

If it was not for the Radios that are not yet supported outside US...., that would be an easy choice to switch....

So sad SONOS, people do really like you, but your higher-ups are making bad choices.…

You have best options on many things but a now bad app and Google has been removed from your newest offers (for reasons I know). That will hurt and your Sonos Assistant is not exactly the Google replacement that it should be.

Good luck, I mean it.
