I now have BBC Sounds as a service and have removed Tunein. Yet when i ask google assistant to play bbc stations it defaults to tunein/sonos radio which gets it from tunein then tells me its unavailable
any way to resolve this

Hi,
I work in the BBC Sounds product team. We’re aware that accessing BBC streams (in the UK) via Google Assistant on Sonos isn’t working right now. We would definitely like to get this working again and are talking to Google about it.
In the meantime, it does work with Alexa on Sonos

It seems related to sonos, its sonos radio/tunein that is still picking up the station

Maybe - I’ve just reported the matter to Google too - I’m sure Staff here are aware from the various posts here in the community.
BBC Sounds (radio stations) all work fine with Alexa on Sonos, so maybe a future update will resolve it for the Google Assistant, but my thoughts are that it will perhaps need the Google developers to be involved with this too, so it’s perhaps worth letting them know.

In that case, I just want to say that I love the BBC Sounds Service on Sonos - nice service integration and it has been working well here with the Alexa voice assistant too… so thank-you.👍

Very frustrating I can only start BBC radio stations through the app instead of Google Assistant voice control.
