Oh, Sonos. You market a luxury item to people (sorry, we’re mere “consumers” to you) savvy enough to appreciate a decent audio technology. Then, upon registering said pricey gadget, you begin spamming said consumers with marketing dross, “lifestyle” guidance, and sundry crap that nobody asked for. Comically, the “unsubscribe” link in these emails results in either a inaccurate Success! message or, more often, no useful response whatsoever. Today’s steaming pile: A Day In The Life With Your New Sound System. Horoscopes, Kardashian updates, and lucky lottery numbers can’t be far behind. Perhaps the author of this philosophical epiphany would like to step forward, take a bow, maybe even a victory lap come performance review time? Or will they (sensibly) hide behind such bunny-brained spilth as just another anonymous marketer? All that student loan debt and your marketing team can do no better than fortune cookie prose. Congratulations. You continue to alienate what might reasonably become repeat customers. Instead, we patiently wait for your competition to dominate the market. They’ll be smarter than you are.

Your snarky comments notwithstanding, until they fix those unsubscribe links, I’d recommend logging in to your account on Sonos.com by clicking on the person logo in the top right of the screen. Once you’re logged in, go to Profile, and then click on “Edit Profile” at the bottom of the screen. Uncheck the two boxes under “Contact Options”. Then click on “Save Changes” at the bottom of your screen, and you should be free of the email (and in app) advertising that Sonos sends.
