What makes you think this is the Development Team’s fault and not a higher up forcing a release out before it was done in order to meet the deadline for the new hardware launch?
Thanks for your answer!
My hardware did not change. But my iPhone gave a new release of App, the Icon changed from yellow back to black.
And now nothing works satisfying !!
What can I do or what can we do to have the Sonos Feeling as before?
Same here,
The new App is the most annoying and most buggy software i ever got. And It is slow.
Sonos was a great experience and i loved it. Now it is
Hope they hire some skilled software quality engineers asap..…
Wonder if they do have any unit, integration and systemtests at sonos development
Doing some serious testing before deployment would have prevented us messing around with this bunch of trouble...
Hello,
It is unacceptable for me having be obliged to update my hardware (too old iOs) to get the new app and finally obtain a full bugged application. I can not imagine either the bad testing process either the bad decision process that have led to the choice of spreading such a dysfunctionnal app !! How is it possible to neglect the customers/users to this point ?!!!
Even the last version integrating alamrs is still dysfunctionnal.
Sometimes i need to switch off the hardware using the hard on/off cause the app is “lost”: no means to change volume neither just to display the title being played. Sometimes you change volume and it refuses to change, comme back to p preceding value. Sometimes you wait 30 sec before changing.
Sometimes after opening the app, playlists don’t appear. Some times they appear after somes minutes. In all cases you can not manage them adding, removing titles in them.
And so….
The only answer i get from sonos is the terms and conditions “sonos don’t ensure that functionaliies provided today will be provided tomorrow”. So “we are ok !” said the support service.
Incredible ! I’m very angry.

There is a major new app version today. Try updating again and see if some of your issues are solved.

They would have to be blind not to see the problems. Stop blaming developers/QA. If it’s anything like teams I’ve been on, they knew the problems, but were overridden by the suits and forced to release it half-baked due to the need to get the headphones out to the public by the end of fiscal year.

Absolutely - and even the beta testers told them not to release it. This is all on management and specifically on the CEO, Spence. He’s been he’s been trying to cover his ass blowing smoke about it to shareholders, analysts, and news outlets. He’s either delusional or a liar. He needs to go.
