new app unable to find system

I open the new app , it says can’t find your system. So I do all the good things, roboot router, reboot speakers , reboot iPad . Works! Bravo. 3 hours later, no music, open app,it  can’t find system. Repeat. Happens at least twice a day with this staggeringly poorly written new app! Hopefully Sonos will decide they goofed and do something positive, but unlikely. FYI Alexa has no trouble finding the Sonos speaker system, and can play from my Amazon music account, radio stations etc. and my router always says the speakers are online and working. It is only the Sonos app that cannot find the Sonos speakers! Maybe I can train Alexa to do everything I wanted the app to do??

Have you tried connecting one of your speakers with an ethernet cable running through your router? (better to unplug the speaker first then plug in the ethernet cable) after that try to reset your app and select join existing system and see if you’re able to find the products connected to that router broadcasting the wi-fi your phone is currently connected to

Tsumaa, I used an Ethernet cable once in (re)setting up the system to see if that helped give longevity. It did not. Here now, gone in a couple of hours. To have to keep an active ethernet cable seems to negate the value of the wonder wireless system - and my speakers are too far from the router to do so.

Same issue for me. Since upgrading to new app, multiple times a day when I either have music already playing that I want to change - or I want to just start playing music - app doesn't recognise any of my speakers. Can take up to 3-5 mins before the app mysteriously recognises speakers again. So frustrating! Happens at least 3 tines a day!
